Rummaging around boat yards is fun but what to buy? Everything is a compromise but we need to make sure we get a reliable safe sea boat first and foremost. It still needs to be comfortable when at anchor as we will be spending a lot of time on board. Our key requirements are:- Two cabins, Sensible storage spaces, Well maintained. Any repairs and upgrades need to be factored into the cost. Oh, and the price needs to be within our budget. I think that it is going to take a while to find the right boat but at least visiting boatyards gives us a good opportunity to visit the sea!

The decision has been made and we want to be ready to head off on our travels next Spring. Now the hard work of preparing starts, there are many things to sort out, we need to sort out what to do with our home and effects, we need to consider where we will go and what budget will be. I have stopped my day job to free up time to get on with these things. A week sailing the Southern Ionian Sea and we are now back home. We spent 6 days sailing, leaving Vounaki Marina and visiting Sivota on the Island of Lefkas, Frikes and Vathi on the Island of Ithaca. Kalamos Vathi on Meganisi We sailed with a Neilson Flotilla on a Dufour 325 yacht.
